The Society holds several regular meetings:
BSDS Annual Surgery Workshop
There is an annual workshop for training in dermatological surgery held in April each year. The location of the workshop varies, the meeting usually lasts 3½ days and consists of lectures and practical workshop sessions. It is recommended for all Dermatology Trainees within their first two years of training. The 2010 Annual Surgery Workshop is being held in Dublin from 12th-14th April.
BSDS Advanced Surgery Workshop
An advanced workshop is held each year. The date, location and subject varies and the course is aimed at practising dermatologists and trainees with some experience. Recent courses have included flap and graft techniques, occuloplastic surgery and Mohs' surgery. BSDS Clinical Meetings
There is a Clinical Meeting from 1:30 to 3:00pm on the third Thursday of March and November each year (to coincide with meetings of the Dermatology Section of the RSM). The meeting on 18th March 2010 is being held at The British Association of Dermatologists, 4 Fitzroy Square, London, W1T 5HQ. BSDS Scientific Meeting
The BSDS holds its scientific meeting and AGM on the Wednesday afternoon during the annual meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists, which this year is being held from the 6th-8th July in Manchester. The meeting consists of short papers and reports selected from abstracts submitted to the Society. The BSDS Annual Dinner is held on the Tuesday evening. For further information, please click here.
BSDS Trainees' Day
This event is for trainees and newly-appointed consultants with an interest in dermatological surgery. This year the event will be held on Friday 21st May at St James Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. For details please click here.
